2004 AJL Annual Convention

Brooklyn, New York

The Jewish American Experience: 350 Years

The Association of Jewish Libraries held its 39th annual conference in New York, on June 20-23, 2004. Scholars from numerous disciplines met to share their interests in Judaica librarianship and related areas.

Many papers from the convention are published in the online Proceedings.

A post-convention press release (in MS Word format) may be downloaded, edited, and distributed.

Guidelines for people wishing to submit their papers to the online Proceedings are available as a .pdf file.

The full program of the 39th Annual Convention and general information about the convention are available as .pdf files.

This year's CEU course, titled Colonial Roots Read: Books Are Revolutionary, reviewed the people, places, and events important in colonial Jewish American history.

The Booklovers' Judaica Festival, held on Sunday, June 20, was open to the public at no charge. Dozens of vendors exhibited their products at the Booklovers' Judaica Festival, between June 20 and June 22, 2004.
