2007 AJL Annual Convention

Jewish Libraries/Southwest Flavors

The Association of Jewish Libraries, Inc. held its 42nd annual convention in Phoenix, Arizona on June 17 - 20, 2007.

Librarians, archivists, and scholars from numerous disciplines met to share their interests in Judaica librarianship and related areas.

This year's keynote address, by Jonathan Kirsch, was entitled "Animal Skins and God's Bones: How the Making and Keeping of Books has Enriched the World and Ensured the Survival of the Jewish People."

Refer to the program and to the convention blog to find out about the presenters and their papers.

Convention speakers' papers will soon be available to AJL members in the online Proceedings. Please refer to the Proceedings guidelines whey you submit your paper.
