The Association of Jewish Libraries serves the needs and interests of its members through its two divisions:

The Research Libraries, Archives, and Special Collections Division (RAS)
The Synagogue, School, and Center Division (SSC)

AJL has a variety of committees that provide service to the membership and to the field of Judaica librarianship.

AJL chapters provide a means for AJL members within a local geographic area to share their expertise, promote regional collection development, upgrade their library skills, and generate communal programming and recognition.
