Members and non-members can order monographs by clicking on this link, printing out the order form and mailing it along with their check. AJL members receive a reduced price.

Popular print monographs include: Creating a Collection: A Resource Booklist for a Beginning Judaic Library, 5th ed., by Merrily Hart, an annotated subject bibliography and guide to developing a core collection in a synagogue, school, or community center library; Jewish Classics for Kids by Linda Silver, an annotated bibliography of a classic canon for children; and 2011 Quest for the Best, a compilation of Sydney Taylor Book Award committee reviews of over 120 books of Jewish interest for children and teens published in 2010. These three publications are available for order online at the Amazon web site.

Pamphlets, such as Excellence in Jewish Children’s Literature and The All-of-A-Kind Family Companion, a reader's guide to the popular series, are available free of charge on the AJL website.

Online resources include the Weine Classification Scheme documents (for access to these documents, please email the AJL vice-president for publications); the Bibliography Bank, a free resource of bibliographies compiled by AJL members; the Jewish Valuesfinder, a free searchable database that identifies quality Jewish children’s books; and the AJL Wiki, a free ongoing compilation of information on many topics related to Jewish libraries.
